Dmitry Bakanov, Head of the Roscosmos State Corporation, and Acting Director of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Sean Duffy On July 31 discussed cooperation between Russia and the United States on lunar programs and joint space exploration.

"I will make efforts to preserve the channel of cooperation between Russia and the United States, and I expect the same from NASA," Bakanov said, quoted by the Roscosmos Telegram channel.

He also noted that the impact of maintaining dialogue in this area on the entire range of bilateral relations should not be exaggerated.

On July 17, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced Russia's readiness to cooperate in the space sector with all interested parties. She noted that the key condition for the development of equal cooperation would be to keep outer space peaceful, which is why Moscow opposes an arms race in orbit.
