The PAZ automobile plant presented the new Citymax 8 bus
Pavlovsky Bus Plant (PAZ) has introduced a new Citymax 8 bus model for operation on urban and suburban routes. Its mass production will begin this year, according to a statement from the Modern Transport Technologies (CTT) company, which was received by Izvestia on July 31.
The model will complement the existing line of PAZ buses, entering the segment of compact cars with a capacity of up to 32 people, such transport is in demand on routes with low passenger traffic.
The Citymax 8 has an original 8.1 meter long load-bearing body. The capacity is 32 passengers. There are 21 main seats in the cabin, all of which are located in the direction of travel. There is a large area of interior glazing and the presence of three soft folding seats.
The bus received a wide double-leaf door without steps at the entrance and a low-floor storage area in the central part of the cabin with space for a child or wheelchair. The model is equipped with an air rear suspension for smooth running on uneven roads. Composite materials are widely used in the body, which are durable and resistant to corrosion, representatives of the GROOVE said.
The novelty is equipped with a 150 hp G 2.5 diesel engine (Euro-5) paired with a six-speed gearbox. The braking system is pneumatic, with disc operating mechanisms on all wheels. A standard set of security systems is provided.
Earlier, on May 29, it was reported that a new KamAZ-6292 electric bus was put into operation in Moscow in a test mode. The accordion electric bus will be tested in different weather conditions, experts will evaluate the technical characteristics, driving performance and comfort for passengers.
