In Russia, it was proposed to amend the regulatory documentation and change the composition for applying road markings so that they become abrasive and slip-resistant. This was reported by TASS on July 31.

The author of the initiative, Dmitry Gusev, First Deputy head of the Fair Russia For Truth faction, addressed it to Andrey Nikitin, Minister of Transport. The politician explained that motorcyclists are often injured due to slippery road markings, which become especially dangerous in the rain.

The parliamentarian pointed out that in some situations, slippery road markings can provoke accidents in the case of motorists. But for motorcyclists, such a surface is slippery when hitting or maneuvering, both in the rain and in the heat, as a result, "marking necessarily leads to accidents with serious consequences," he stressed.

In addition, Gusev drew attention to the danger of the construction of road rope bumpers, which represent a "dangerous trap for motorcyclists." He called for changes to the regulatory documentation and for the cable bump to be supplemented with a special metal strip so that motorcyclists could avoid injury when falling.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that State Duma deputies proposed to establish uniform days of free parking in paid places throughout Russia. As the deputies explained, now in the regions of the Russian Federation there are different rules for providing free parking in paid parking spaces on Sundays and public holidays.

The day before, it became known that the State Duma is preparing a bill that proposes to oblige buses designed for 22 or more passengers to be equipped with air conditioning and heating systems in accordance with established standards.
