The entire Roscosmos cosmonaut squad, including squad commander Oleg Kononenko, greeted Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov before his first flight to the International Space Station (ISS). This was announced on July 31 in the press service of the state corporation.

"We want to wish you all an easy and successful start day. We want your flight to meet all your expectations, so that there are no special difficulties and problems, and everything that you wanted to do came true, and that everything worked out for you," Kononenko wished.

It is noted that the launch of the SpaceX Crew 11 mission will take place no earlier than July 31, 19:09 Moscow time. It consisted of Commander Zina Cardman (first flight) and pilot Michael Fink (fourth flight) from the United States, as well as mission specialist Kimiya Yui from Japan (second flight).

On July 30, Roscosmos reported that Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of the state corporation, visited the John F. Kennedy Space Center in the United States, where he met with the crew of the Crew Dragon spacecraft, which will carry Platonov to the ISS.
