The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) were used by Western countries as a tool of control over Kiev. German political analyst Eike Hamer told Izvestia about this on July 29.

In his opinion, such structures in Ukraine were created as a so-called pirate's nest for Western structures to conduct illegal cases on the territory of this country that could not be carried out in their countries, since they would contradict the Constitution. However, as Hamer emphasized, the project failed, which forced the NATO countries to "step back."

"I definitely think that NABU and SAP were tools for the West to control Ukraine. <...> The Anti-Corruption Bureau was one of [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Putin's tools. Zelensky and his partners for theft throughout [the territory] Ukraine, to impose sanctions, to take away people's property. <...> Ukraine has been a very useful tool for redistributing taxpayers' money into the hands of these corrupt politicians and corrupt networks in the West," he said.

The political scientist also added that the observed situation around such organizations is evidence of the complete collapse of the political regime in Ukraine, the continued existence of which, in his opinion, is in doubt.

The Berliner Zeitung newspaper reported on July 25 that Zelensky's decision to limit the powers of NABU and SAP could cause irreparable damage to the reputation of the Ukrainian leader — his "charm has disappeared." The article noted that Zelensky looks like a man who has lost control of his own country.
