In the Kursk region, traffic was restored on the Ostapovo – Mikhailovsky Rudnik railway section, and a single-track overpass destroyed as a result of the terrorist attack on June 1 was also restored. This was announced on July 28 by the Russian Railways press service in its Telegram channel.

"The artificial structure was erected as soon as possible. Construction work began on June 30, after the design was completed, and was carried out around the clock. More than 120 railway workers and 12 units of heavy equipment were involved in them," the report says.

The ministry clarified that the length of the new overpass is 36 m. The height of the structure is 5.7 m, which is almost one meter higher than the previous structure. This will allow oversized vehicles to pass under the overpass.

Tragedy in the Bryansk region: a road bridge collapsed on a passenger train

As a result of the incident, seven people died and dozens were injured.

The collapse of a bridge in the Kursk region during the movement of a freight train became known on June 1. Some of the wagons fell onto the highway located under the bridge. At the same time, the remaining trains stopped on the railway platform. Later it became known that the derailment of the locomotive and three empty freight train cars occurred due to the fall of the bridge span.

On June 3, the Investigative Committee of Russia classified the collapse of railway bridges in the Bryansk and Kursk regions as terrorist attacks. A total of seven people were killed, and 113 others were injured.
