Veterans of the special military operation (SVO) took part in the rescue of residents of a burning house on Ozernaya Street in Lyubertsy. The servicemen told Izvestia about this on July 26.

"They said there was a child there, so they were a little worried. Fortunately, there was no one in the apartment, except for the cat, which we pulled out," said Andrei Kvashin, a veteran of the SVO, a retired lieutenant of the special rapid reaction unit.

Another participant in the special operation, Rustam Kazanchev, himself lived in a house affected by the fire. After the fire started, he went down to the fourth floor, where he found a crying girl. In addition, the soldier personally participated in the elimination of the fire along with firefighters. Thanks to Kazanchev's efforts, it was also possible to save a young man who suffered carbon monoxide poisoning.

The fire in Lyubertsy was reported on the evening of July 25. It is noted that as a result of the fire, people were trapped in their own apartments, some of which were rescued by employees of a local kebab shop.
