Romanian President Nicusor Dan has received an official invitation from the American leader Donald Trump to visit the United States. This was announced on July 20 by Cristian Diaconescu, the Romanian leader's security adviser.

"There is an official invitation from President Donald Trump addressed to President Nikushor Dan. A month ago, a very good bilateral dialogue took place, and this invitation was officially sent," he said in an interview with Digi 24 TV channel.

Diaconescu also noted that preparations for this depend on how quickly the agenda of the visit will be formed, taking into account the interests of both countries. Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Choiu will travel to the United States in September to prepare for a meeting between the leaders of the two countries, the TV channel said.
