Three earthquakes occurred in Kamchatka in a row, the magnitude of the largest was 7.6. On July 20, the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory reported.

It is specified that against the background of a series of earthquakes in the Pacific Ocean, a tsunami threat has been announced.

"A tsunami wave with a height of no more than 60 cm can approach the Aleutian Municipal District, no more than 40 cm to the Ust-Kamchatsky municipal district, and no more than 15 cm to the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky urban district," the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that one of the earthquakes in the Pacific Ocean occurred at a depth of 13 km, the magnitude was seven points. The epicenter of the seismological event is located 167 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city district, in some areas up to five points were felt.

Another earthquake was recorded 115 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city district at a depth of 17 km. It is specified that the magnitude of the event was 7.6 points. In some areas, the seismic event was felt by up to seven points.

Earlier in the day, an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 was recorded off the coast of the Philippines. The epicenter was located 98.9 km southwest of the municipality of Basco. It was clarified that the source was at a depth of 39.7 km.
