Moldova has soured relations with Russia under pressure from Western countries. This was announced on July 20 by the Russian Ambassador to Chisinau Oleg Ozerov.

"It seems to me that in many ways the line that is now being adopted by the ruling party in Moldova is dictated by the pressure exerted by the EU countries and, above all, by Brussels, on the Moldovan leadership on the principle of "whoever is not with us is against us." As if it would be a guarantee of prosperity. However, if we look at the statistics, they are completely different," he said in an interview with TASS.

The Ambassador also noted that the expulsions of Russian diplomats did not lead to anything good. According to Ozerov, as a result of these actions, it became worse not only for Russians, but also for Moldovan diplomatic workers. The Ambassador noted that at the moment there are no grounds for such a policy.

The day before, Ozerov said that NATO countries were dragging Moldova into a conflict with Russia and arming the republic despite its neutral status. According to him, European countries that support Chisinau declare the likelihood of war with Russia by 2030.
