In the South Korean province of Chuncheon, two people were trapped under rubble due to a landslide. This was reported on July 17 by the Yonhap news agency, citing representatives of the fire department.

"At 9:34 (3:34 Moscow time. — Ed.) <...> a landslide occurred in Chongyang County, Chuncheon Province. As a result of the incident, two residents were trapped underground, but by 9:50 a.m. (3:50 a.m. Moscow time. — Ed.) they were saved," the publication says.

The agency also cited data from the meteorological service, which states that torrential downpours with an intensity of more than 100 milliliters per hour hit Chuncheon. Due to bad weather, floods began in the area, and residents had to be evacuated. In addition, railway routes were suspended.

Telesur TV reported on June 25 that a landslide had occurred in Colombia in the municipality of Belo in northwestern Colombia. Later it became known that the number of victims of the landslide reached 23 people.
