Austria pointed out the EU's inability to solve its internal problems
The European Union (EU) is facing serious internal challenges, including crime, mass migration, and the degradation of social and medical systems. At the same time, the EU cannot solve these problems. This was announced to Izvestia on July 16 by Austrian geopolitical analyst Patrick Poppel.
"The European Union is facing serious internal difficulties that it cannot solve. People are worried about crime and mass migration. People see that the social system and the healthcare system are increasingly being destroyed," he said.
According to him, the "collapse of Europe" is justified by sending money to Ukraine and the need to create an army. To do this, we need to increase the military budget, reducing social benefits, healthcare costs, and pensions. In this case, Russia has been "effectively chosen as a scapegoat" for the internal mistakes that European countries have been making for decades.
As Poppel noted, Europe, being part of the American sphere of influence, began to blame even the United States. Thus, the United States, according to the EU's point of view, threatens democracy.
Russian Russians are no longer just "evil Russians," but also "evil Americans." Everyone is a villain, and the only good ones are the Europeans. The only capable politicians are in Europe, and all the others are scammers and bandits," the analyst noted.
However, fewer and fewer people believe in these ideas, resulting in a split in society. So, some people follow the agenda and understand what is happening, while others are "constantly being led by the nose" by the leading European media. Some citizens do not understand what the problems are, which is a "huge disaster" that is already being faced in Europe, Poppel stressed.
Earlier, on July 16, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the European Union was accumulating mistakes in economic policy. In particular, in his opinion, the EU failed to reach a good agreement on customs cooperation.
