Kosachev reacted to Trump's statements on the Ukrainian conflict

Statements by US President Donald Trump on the Ukrainian conflict will not affect Russia's mood. This was announced on July 14 by Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council.

"If this is all that Trump meant about Ukraine today, then so far the expectations have been overstated...> Ukraine can only continue to fight to the last Ukrainian, since they have appointed such a fate for themselves. <...> The main thing is that our mood is not affected by the word at all," the message on his Telegram channel says.

Conversational calm: Russia will continue direct negotiations with Ukraine

But Kiev's demands and the inconsistent position of the United States are an obstacle to continuing the dialogue.

On the same day, Trump announced that the United States and the European Union (EU) had reached an agreement on the supply of weapons to Ukraine. He also stressed that European countries will pay for its production. It was clarified that Washington is considering the possibility of transferring 17 Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Kiev.
