The European Union (EU) countries supply weapons to Moldova to use it in the conflict against Russia. This was announced on July 14 by the leader of the Moldovan opposition bloc "Victory" Ilan Shor.

"Europe is stuffing Moldova with weapons to use it in the war against Russia," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Shor stressed that Europe supplies weapons to Moldova under the guise of assistance, but after that the EU will demand the return of investments "if not with money, then with blood." According to him, Moldovan President Maia Sandu is a "usurper" and is ready to "throw Moldovans into the furnace of the West's war with Russia."

Earlier in the day, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) reported that NATO countries were turning Moldova into a new military battering ram for conflict with Russia. The ministry stressed that railways and bridges in Moldova are being modernized to transport troops, as well as the capacity of airports to receive military transport and combat aircraft is being increased.

On May 20, ex-President of the Republic Igor Dodon told Izvestia that the conflict in Ukraine should be a lesson for Moldova and show the fallacy of Sandu's actions, which repeats Kiev's actions in opposing Russia. He stressed that Moldova needs to maintain friendly relations with the Russian Federation.
