Due to drone attacks in Belgorod, the warning system was changed
The warning system was changed in Belgorod due to the increased frequency of drone attacks. Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of the Belgorod Region, announced this on July 12.
"If there is a threat of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles, the siren will turn on for a minute. This will be followed by a voice alert: "Danger of a UAV attack," Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel.
He added that when the threat is lifted, it will also be announced over the loudspeakers. The new rules will be introduced starting on the evening of July 12, and they also apply to night time.
"As soon as the siren starts, go to the nearest building or shelter. Life is the most valuable thing we have. Take care of yourself and your loved ones," Gladkov concluded.
Earlier in the day, Gladkov reported that as a result of a drone strike A civilian was injured in an apartment building in Belgorod by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The head of the region added that the windows and facade of the house were damaged by the detonation of a kamikaze drone.
