Gazelles and Sables have been equipped with a new security system
Commercial vehicles of the Gazelle Next, Gazelle NN and Sobol NN families with rear driving wheels began to be equipped with a directional stability system. This is stated in the message of the Modern Transport Technologies company, which was received by Izvestia on July 10.
The ESC system helps to maintain handling on slippery surfaces, automatically correcting the behavior of the car during skidding and critical maneuvers. It has already been implemented on all-metal vans, combos and buses, and from August it will be available for flatbed trucks.
The system includes anti-lock and anti-slip systems, an emergency braking assistant, an electronic braking force distribution system, and an assist function when starting to climb. When driving on slippery roads and diagonal suspension of the drive wheels, the ESC performs the function of simulating the differential lock mechanism, slowing down the slipping wheel.
The company noted that for vehicles that are often used with a full load or on routes with variable road conditions, the presence of ESC reduces the risk of accidents and increases stability on the road.
Earlier, on July 4, it was reported that the front airbags were included in the basic configuration of most modifications of the Gazelle Next, Gazelle NN and Sobol NN.
