Merz urged Trump to stay on Europe's side on Ukraine issue
On July 10, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz called on US President Donald Trump to "stay with the Europeans" on the issue of Ukraine at a conference in Rome.
"Stay with us and stay with the Europeans, we are on the same wavelength and strive for a stable political order in this world," Barron's magazine quoted him as saying.
In addition, the German Chancellor also noted that the European Union's (EU) support for the Kiev regime is "unwavering."
On July 8, the American leader announced the transfer of defensive weapons to Ukraine. According to Trump, it was he who approved these supplies to the Kiev regime.
In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the continuation of pumping Ukraine with weapons does not contribute to the settlement of the conflict.
