The weakest point of aging Russian cars turned out to be batteries

The most popular service in car service stations remains, as it was a year ago, car maintenance, that is. This was reported to Izvestia by analysts of the international network of Fit Service car services.

"The expected result is already in second place — work on the fuel system. Steering is the third most common problem, and only the fourth is the suspension, which is usually called the most problematic system in the car," they said.

So, all types of diagnostics were included in the maintenance group — these are the most popular services. They are picked up five times more often than, for example, at a rally.

In the fuel system, the air filter, manifolds and resonator are most often changed. It is precisely because of this mandatory and frequent operation that the fuel system group came in second place.

Diagnostics, oil and technical fluids replacement, collapse and filter replacement were among the top five breakdowns. At the same time, problems with the stove outstripped the frequency of suspension failures. And the pads are changed three times less often than they update the engine oil, and one and a half times less than they check the corners of the wheels.

"The proportion of older vehicles with high mileage is increasing in the Russian fleet of vehicles in operation. Therefore, we see a noticeable trend in the number of complex jobs: repair of aggregates, problems with wiring and other important systems," said Tatiana Ovchinnikova, CEO of the network.
