The provision of new shipments of defensive weapons to Ukraine cannot change the course of the conflict in the region. This was stated on July 9 by American political scientist Gilbert Doctorow during the Judge Napolitano podcast on YouTube.

"Providing them (to Ukraine. — Ed.) more defensive weapons will not affect the course of the conflict in any way. If we have learned anything from Israel's war with Iran, it is that there is no Iron Dome," he said.

The expert noted that even the most modern interceptor missiles turned out to be virtually useless against the new generation of hypersonic missiles, of which Russia has a significant arsenal and whose production is only increasing.

"Therefore, whatever the United States provides in the framework of the latest decisions of [US President Donald] Trump won't help Ukraine," the political scientist stated.

On July 8, Trump announced the transfer of defensive weapons to Ukraine. According to the American leader, it was he who approved these supplies to the Kiev regime.

On July 9, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that continuing to pump weapons into Ukraine was not conducive to resolving the conflict.
