Putin signed a decree on increasing the number of employees in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on increasing the number of staff in the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia. The relevant document was published on July 9 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

So, starting from January 1, 2026, the number of staff will be 23,149 employees. At the same time, 270 federal government civil servants are among them. Thus, the number of employees will increase by 132 people compared to the previous version of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation "Issues of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation".

In addition, by a new decree, the Russian leader decided to allocate funding to the agency for the execution of the decree.

On January 15, Putin congratulated employees and veterans of the Investigative Committee on the 14th anniversary of the establishment of the department. According to him, in recent years, the state body has demonstrated its effectiveness and has become an important part of the law enforcement system.
