An outbreak of salmonella was recorded in Yakutsk
In Yakutia, an outbreak of salmonellosis was recorded among the participants of the national holiday Ysyakh Olonkho. This was announced on July 9 by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor in the region.
"As of July 9, more than 50 people had applied for medical help in Yakutsk, Tattinsky, Neryungrinsky, Megino-Kangalassky, Namsky districts. The victims associate their illness with the consumption of ready—made dishes from poultry meat," the ministry said.
Measures are currently being taken to search for and remove low-quality products from circulation. Laboratory tests have also been scheduled and anti-epidemic measures have been organized in the foci of the spread of the disease.
On April 30, 12 people were hospitalized in the Khabarovsk Territory after an outbreak of infection. It is specified that more than 20 people, including minors, sought medical help with symptoms of rotavirus infection. Tap water could be a possible source of the disease.
