Ex-NATO adviser pointed out that the West ignores Russia's position on Ukraine
The administration of US President Donald Trump does not listen to Russia's position on the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on July 8 by Jacques Bo, a former NATO adviser and retired colonel of the Swiss General Staff, during a broadcast on YouTube.
"The problem is that from the very beginning, the Trump administration did not understand or did not want to understand that Russia was winning on the battlefield. This means that you need to listen to what they are saying," he said.
However, as Bo noted, Western countries refuse to do this. This approach resulted in numerous plans to resolve the conflict, which do not take into account the position of the Russian Federation on this issue, the colonel said.
On July 7, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared his readiness for a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian conflict. The minister believes that, first of all, it is necessary to eliminate the threats to Russia's security associated with the expansion of NATO and "Ukraine's involvement in this military bloc."
