More than 300,000 people took part on Tuesday, July 8, in the All—Russian Family Parade, which was held in different cities under the common slogan "Russia is a family of families."
The purpose of the parade was to strengthen the institution of the family and foster respect for parents among the younger generation. Interactive platforms with round dances and songs, treats, sports games, relay races and creative workshops were also organized for the participants.
"This is a holiday that revives families and unites them. A celebration of childhood, love, and fidelity <...> These are the kinds of holidays that should be done more often. It's good that this is being revived in Russia, a family holiday," said a participant in the parade.
A large-scale march was also held in Moscow. It was accompanied by the awarding of large families at the country's main exhibition, VDNH. In total, more than 5,000 people took part in the capital's parade.

Earlier in the day, the opening of the II All-Russian Wedding Festival took place at the Rossiya National Center in Moscow. According to Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, the event has become a significant event, as more than 200 Russians will tie the knot these days.
