Trump announced the transfer of defensive weapons to Ukraine
The United States is currently transferring some defensive weapons to Ukraine. This was announced on July 8 by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at a meeting of his cabinet at the White House.
"We are sending some defensive weapons to Ukraine," Trump said, his speech was broadcast on the White House YouTube channel.
According to the American leader, it was he who approved these supplies to the Kiev regime.
On the same day, Axios reported that Trump promised Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to send 10 interceptor missiles for the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM).
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on July 8 that the West's actions with the supply of weapons to Ukraine do not contribute to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. According to him, the line that the Europeans have chosen is aimed at contributing in every possible way to the continuation of hostilities.
The day before, Trump announced new arms supplies for Ukraine during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. He noted that the weapons will be supplied for the defense of Ukraine.
