The portal "Cinema-Theater.<url> has announced the launch of the second season of the large-scale project "Kinokarta Rossii". A new online platform called Kinokarta 2.0 or Kinolocation Map will become an aggregator of locations for future projects across the country. This was announced on July 8 by the portal's press service.

If the first season of the project was dedicated to the filming locations of famous films and TV series, now Kinokarta is designed to present the territory of the whole of Russia as an open film set. Producers and directors will have access to unique locations, from natural landscapes to urban interiors and industrial facilities.

According to the editor-in-chief of the portal, Jean Prosyanov, Kinokarta 2.0 should become "a living instrument of interaction between the film industry and the regions" and unlock the cultural and tourist potential of the country.

"We are uniting the industry and the country. Kinokarta 2.0 is a service that can be useful for both large studios and independent producers. It will make access to locations easier and more transparent. We invite location managers and film enthusiasts to participate in the project," added project producer Vladimir Gnezdilov.

It is specified that on the "Map of movie locations" anyone can offer their own filming location, whether it is "a natural landscape, an urban interior, business locations or a technical facility." A verified office with advanced functions is provided for professional managers.

There are already more than 3 thousand points on Kinokarta and over 1 thousand films and TV series. Based on these data, 15 thematic film routes have been compiled by cities and regions of Russia. The project also develops a media direction — the travel show "Where they filmed" and educational videos about professions in cinema.

Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina said on June 23 that over 120 projects of various formats had already been shot there during the operation of the Moskino Film Park. It was clarified that this year alone, six full-scale sets were opened in the film park. One of them, the Brest Fortress, was built to work on the painting "Not listed." Thanks to archival drawings and photographs, it was possible to recreate the Church of St. Casimir, destroyed in Brest at the beginning of World War II, as well as a number of other objects.
