The July film poster matches this mood: many new films will make viewers remember the past. The comedy "Plagiarist" will heavily hint at Danny Boyle's Yesterday, "Goldilocks" will recall the fairy tale of the same name from the time of grandmother's childhood, and "Destination" from China... surely you've figured it out for yourself. Simon was recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. He has visions, hears mysterious voices and is convinced that all these are manifestations of his illness. One day, on the street, he sees a girl being abducted by unknown people and goes to the police. But when they find out about the diagnosis, they refuse to believe him. Then he comes to his neighbor for help, a retired policeman suffering from delusions of persecution. He is very skeptical of the crazy neighbor, but with the beginning of the investigation, he becomes convinced that he and Simon got into the tangled web of a real conspiracy. To expose him, they will have to separate Simon's prophetic visions from his hallucinations.
The success of "Conspiracy Theory," filmed in 1997, obviously haunted director Duncan Skiles, a young and red-haired owner of a sly smile, for a long time. In the end, he decided to reshape Richard Donner's blockbuster in his own way. However, remakes seem to be Skiles' main specialty. One of his recent paintings ("Nerds") tells the story of the coexistence of dolls and people in a single urban space — an idea entirely taken from the iconic "Who framed Roger Rabbit?" He called the other without hesitation "Our remake of Robocop" — and, apparently, was not lying. In his alterations, Skiles demonstrates a penchant for minimalism and a rather black sense of humor - the latter gives hope that two hours in the cinema will not be wasted.

When the kids start asking him uncomfortable questions, he decides to get out of the criminal business, but it's not that easy, and the mafia starts hunting him. Now the killers are threatening his family, and the hero will have to grab the gun tighter to protect the most precious thing. Fortunately, there is someone to watch Ray's back: his wife, it turns out, also knows and knows how to do something.
The action comedy "Cock up" is located halfway between "John Wick," the son of the main character, who is remembered for a reason, and "True Lies," which the kid probably would have remembered too, but, alas, did not come out of age. John Wick will have to be stripped of its nerve—racking and deafening budget, while True Lies will have to be stripped of its sleek bond style. All that will remain are dirty night streets, a lightning—fast, tooth-crushing exchange of blows and shots, a healthy dose of black humor and a bonus - Christina Ricci. It's worth going to the cinema, if only to see who the sociopathic girl from the monster family has grown into. Not the worst option for Wednesday Addams, come to think of it.

Egor is a poor musician who dreams of fame, and while waiting for it, he sings along to voiceless karaoke guests for tips. His beloved Julia is the daughter of a millionaire, and she does not like the work of her boyfriend, to whom she constantly suggests quitting her stupid earnings, instead finally recording a duet with her. Yulin's dad, a tycoon, cunningly lures Egor to the estate and sternly offers to learn how to make money, reinforcing the offer with a skillful right hook. Life is pounding in his head, and as if that wasn't enough, a portal to 1991 suddenly opens in Egor's closet, and he falls naked into the past right under the feet of an elderly nymph. Finally, the guy got lucky: knowing countless modern hits, Egor is determined to profitably sell them to music lovers of the past and secure a better future with Julia. But the changes in the past, as it turned out, are rapidly affecting the future, and Egor will have to think carefully so as not to lose his most precious thing...
One could sympathize with Egor's problems if there were not huge gaps in their scenario basis — logical and historical. The staircase in the Arbat entrance in 1991, covered in three layers of graffiti without a single obscene word or obscene picture, was clearly designed by an art director with a higher education in art history. Beer stalls were removed from Moscow during the anti-alcohol campaign of the 80s, while shawarma tents proliferated, on the contrary, later, at the height of the 90s. An amateur recording studio in the apartment of the beggar Egor is worth half of Versailles. A tycoon who was unhappy with the income of a potential son-in—law, instead of practicing boxing skills, it was much easier to call some major producer, and in a week money would pour into the boy like a river. And, in principle, the role of producers in the music industry in comedy is critically underestimated: there are still potential hits on the Internet today, but for some reason only a few are taking off to the stars. However, you don't have to worry about Egor: everything will be fine with him, and of course he will sing a duet with Julia.
"Destination: skyscraper 613"

The family strives to rent a cheaper apartment — and in vain: inexpensive housing in a suspiciously gloomy and deserted high-rise turns out to be a trap into which Death gathers those who are destined for it. No one should leave the building.
The film was made in China, which, before the era of its technological might, became synonymous with the counterfeiting industry in all areas — from high fashion to car manufacturing. The creators of "Destination" have shaken up the old days: horror stamps are collected here, it seems, in full, and fans of the genre will be happy to recognize familiar scenes copied from the best examples of the genre - from "Psycho" to "Resident Evil" — almost frame—by-frame. A killer child from hell with a face covered with jet-black hair, a possessed man flying up to the ceiling with a wild scream, a killer elevator, flashing electricity in empty corridors, a hand desperately reaching for the curtain over the bathroom... You can arrange a bingo — whoever finds more references. It will be interesting.

The young IT genius Grisha (Denis Vlasenko - "Number One", "Inspector Gavrilov") has invented a way to transfer human consciousness into a variety of gadgets — from a tape recorder to a robot. I can't promote the invention; I would like to ask my father for help, a major criminal boss named Bes (Vitaly Khaev — "Streltsov", "Major Thunder"), but dad has more serious problems. He unsuccessfully escapes from prison, falls into a coma and becomes the target of a hunt for a rival gang, which hopes to extract information from him about a cache with a large amount of money and does not shy away from putting pressure on his son while his father is in the hospital. So Grisha has to experiment on his father, transferring his consciousness into electronic devices in the hope that together they will be able to get out of trouble, and at the same time solve the problem of mutual misunderstanding of generations.
In the retelling, the plot seems somewhat crazy, but it was embodied in a surprisingly vital and humane way. A dad who doesn't understand the concept of emojis, and a teenage son who is infuriated by his father's technical incompetence - it's not invented, it's the flesh of the flesh of parental school chats with their eternal complaints about the gap between generations. Dad, who got into the radio of an SUV and immediately turned on 120 beats per minute for joy, is beautiful in his naturalness. So everything will work out for them: the money will be found, and the problem of fathers and children will be solved. The electronic robot pet, assembled by the young hope of Russian robotics, winks with a red Terminator-like eye, making you once again warmly remember your childhood.
"Goldilocks"

The squire Irzyk, violating the king's ban, tasted the meat of a magic snake and began to understand the language of birds and animals. Now he needs to atone for his crime: to avoid execution, Irzyk will have to go to a mysterious kingdom in the middle of the sea for Princess Goldilocks, whom the king dreams of marrying. To get a beautiful princess, he will have to go through a lot of tests, showing courage and ingenuity, avoiding dangerous traps and exposing liars who are plotting evil. And in the end, make a difficult choice between duty and heart.
"Goldilocks" is another reason to cement the bonds between generations: the first film based on the fairy tale of the same name by Karel Jaromir Erben was shot back in socialist Czechoslovakia in 1973. The generation of grandfathers and, especially, the grandmothers of the current preschool children were completely delighted with him. However, in the traditions of those years, the fairy tale consisted of musical numbers a little more than half. The new version is made in a modern Disney manner: rich costumes, bright decorations, a classic confrontation between hero and villain — for which Irzyk, who served as a cook in the original, was promoted to a squire, which is why the scriptwriters obviously had to break their heads over the snake-eating episode. However, they did it. The tale turned out to be colorful and dynamic, the heroine is charming, the hero is handsome and courageous, as befits a squire. Go with your family — give Grandma a chance to remember her youth.
