- The State Duma announced the interest of friendly countries in Russian small businesses
Friendly countries are interested in allowing small developing companies from Russia to enter their markets. Alexey Govyrin, a State Duma deputy and member of the Committee on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (United Russia), told Izvestia on July 8.
"Friendly countries are interested in allowing our small developing companies to enter their markets. In addition, funds from China, the Arab world, Central and Southeast Asia are actively investing in Russian infrastructure projects, including through the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), and also inviting Russian companies to localize," the deputy noted.
Innoprom is primarily a B2B development tool for SMEs and industrial giants. A constant dialogue between the government and business, as well as small companies with market leaders, is very important now. And the task now is not just to assemble exhibitions for the sake of the number of visitors, but to do exactly how Innoprom works — that is, to ensure that large-scale business events organized by the state have clear economic results for our Russian companies, taking into account which markets are of interest to them, Govyrin emphasized..
Innoprom allows us to promote our products to foreign markets. Another effective communication tool within Innoprom is the Dialogue with the Trade Representative project. Trade representatives of the Russian Federation abroad conduct dialogues with domestic companies, helping them build an export strategy and adapt to international markets, expand the geography of cooperation in friendly countries not only for well—known giants, but also for small companies, and here there is an opportunity to communicate with them in a very substantive and specific way," the politician said..
Govrin noted that there is now a business structure where small companies are actively operating in industrial parks and SEZs, they are making great strides in developing new materials, working with chemical compounds, and bringing together programmers, AI specialists, and robotics. In small companies and startups, specialists have the opportunity to unlock their potential and feel relatively independent to create and implement scientific and technical developments.
"In conditions of a shortage of personnel, SMEs are able, firstly, to provide their results and achievements at the expense of the available human resources, and secondly, they are accustomed not to declare themselves widely and not to speak big words about high things, as is customary among many industrial leaders, but, as they say, to "work with their hands" on on the ground, to produce parts, to work at the computer, step by step making the result. In addition, science and IT in the field of SMEs continue to benefit from government support measures, as these areas are priority areas," concluded the deputy of the State Duma from United Russia.
Yesterday, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, at a meeting of industry ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries within the framework of Innoprom, said that the trade turnover of the Russian Federation with the countries of the association increased 1.5 times from 2022 to 2024. Over the past two years, the trade turnover between the SCO member states has increased by 30% and reached almost $1 trillion.
