The WSJ reported on Trump's intention to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine
US President Donald Trump intends to continue providing military assistance to Ukraine and expressed openness about new arms supplies. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on July 7.
"Trump told the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, that he was not responsible for stopping the supply of weapons to Kiev, which signaled the openness of the United States to continuing military assistance to Ukraine," the publication says.
According to Trump, he did not give orders to suspend support to Kiev, but only ordered to check the ammunition stocks at the disposal of the US Department of Defense.
On the same day, Trump announced his intention to supply more weapons to Ukraine. The US president's statement was made a few days after his administration ordered the suspension of new weapons supplies to Kiev.
