Trump announced his intention to supply more weapons to Ukraine
US President Donald Trump has announced new arms supplies for Ukraine. He made the corresponding statement on July 7 during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, broadcast by the Associated Press (AP).
"We are going to send more weapons. We have to. <...> We will have to send more weapons. Weapons for protection, first of all, they receive very, very strong blows," the American leader said.
It is noted that Trump's statement was made a few days after his administration ordered the suspension of new weapons supplies to Kiev.
Earlier in the day, Trump pointed to significant U.S. assistance to Ukraine. The American leader also added that if he had held the post of president of the country in 2022, the conflict between Moscow and Kiev would have been avoided.
