The market for light commercial, medium- and large-tonnage trucks declined in June. This was reported by the analytical agency Autostat on July 4 in a press release received by Izvestia.

In June 2025, 5,900 units of new light commercial vehicles (LCVs) were sold in the Russian Federation, which is 29.5% less than in the same month last year. The LCV market leader remains domestic GAZ, with a result of 2,602 vehicles, its share in early summer exceeded 44%.

Next in the ranking are three more Russian brands — Lada (1,113 units), UAZ (749 units) and Sollers (611 units). China's Foton rounded out the top 5 (149 units), whose share increased from 0.8% to 2.5% over the year. In the model rating, Gazelle Next (1,250 units) retains leadership in June, which owns more than a fifth (21.2%) of the total volume.

Sales of medium-tonnage trucks (MCVs) fell in June by 61.9% less than in the same month last year, to 725 units. The segment leader remains domestic GAS, which accounted for 37.4% in early summer. This corresponds to 271 trucks sold. Next in the ranking is another Russian brand — KamAZ (202 units) with a share of 27.9%. Completing the TOP 5 brands in June are Chinese JAC (75 units), Dongfeng (34 units) and Foton (29 units). And while GAZ's market share has increased, the other four brands have decreased.

In the model rating, Next Lawn retains leadership (174 units), which owns about a quarter (24%) of the total volume.

During the same period, 2,930 new large-tonnage or heavy trucks (HCVs) were sold in Russia, which is 66.8% less than in June 2024. The segment leader remains the domestic KAMAZ, which accounted for about a third (31.7%) of the total in early summer. In June, 930 new large-capacity KAMAZ trucks were sold.

Next in the ranking are three Chinese brands — Sitrak (377 units), Shacman (272 units) and FAW (254 units). Belarusian MAZ closes the Top 5 brands in June (207 units). The Chinese Sitrak C7H (373 units) retains the leadership in the model rating, which owns 12.7% of total sales in June.

Earlier it became known that the Sobol and Gazelle cars received airbags. The innovation has already affected cars with an on-board platform, all-metal vans and combos, as well as some modifications of buses with diesel engines. In the future, pillows will be introduced in other versions.
