- The media reported on the possible dispatch of a special envoy of South Korea to the Russian Federation

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung is considering sending a special envoy to Russia. This was reported on July 4 by the Yonhap news Agency.
"The presidential administration was considering whether to send a special representative to Russia against the background of Moscow's increasing military rapprochement with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea," the article says.
It is noted that in addition to Russia, Lee Jae-myung is considering appointing special envoys to the United States, Japan, China and other countries in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region.
According to the agency, former President of the Republic Moon Jae-in sent an envoy to Russia at the beginning of his presidency.
The day before, Lee Jae-myung said that South Korea is interested in improving relations with Russia and China. He also added that he intends to restore the interrupted dialogue between the Republic of Korea and the DPRK.
