Demonstrators staged a blockade at the Law Faculty of the University of Belgrade

Students and opposition supporters blocked streets in the Serbian capital Belgrade, where protests resumed. This was reported on July 4 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
The rally was held near the building of the Law Faculty of the University of Belgrade. There is a poster on the university building with the question: "How long?" (Serbian — "How long, until when").
The protesters used garbage cans to block roads. The demonstrators themselves used whistles to express their dissatisfaction. Despite the blocking of intersections, students allowed cars with small children, pregnant women and those who needed medical attention to pass.
After a while, the protesters moved from the site occupied by the police and blocked another intersection a couple of blocks from the previous location.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on July 4 called on protesting students and opposition supporters to abandon plans to lay siege to several cities, including Belgrade, warning that otherwise the authorities would be forced to take counter measures.
On June 30, participants in anti-government protests blocked the Gazela Bridge, which is the central transport artery of the city, with barricades. At that time, at least 30 barricades were seen in the city. The country's authorities regarded these protests as a manifestation of extremism.
