The Polish government has purchased 180 K2 Black Panther tanks for the army from the South Korean Hyundai Rotem concern. This was reported on June 3 by Military Watch Magazine.

"The South Korean company Hyundai Rotem and the Polish government have signed a deal to sell 180 K2 main battle tanks to equip the Polish army," the publication says.

It is specified that the agreement was signed after the negotiations between the parties reached an impasse. As part of the deal, 63 tanks will be assembled in Poland under the control of the Polish state defense group PGZ. Also, by the end of this year, 93 combat vehicles out of the promised 180 will be provided to Poland.

In addition, the South Korean side will provide new tank configurations, transfer technology, and support the technical repair and inspection of vehicles.

The Australian Ministry of Defense announced on the same day that the Australian authorities intend to purchase modern medium-range guided missiles from the United States for up to 3.4 billion Australian dollars (about $ 2.12 billion) as part of a program to strengthen air defense and strike power.
