One village was left without electricity in the Voronezh Region due to a downed power line after an attempted drone attack. This was announced on July 3 by the governor of the region, Alexander Gusev.
"Last night, at least 22 unmanned aerial vehicles were detected and destroyed by the air defense forces on duty in five districts and urban districts of the Voronezh Region. Due to a power line breakage, one village is temporarily left without electricity, operational services are on site," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to him, there were no casualties from the attack. The governor clarified that roofs were damaged in two private houses, one window was blown out in another private house and one apartment.
"The danger of a UAV attack in the region remains," Gusev added.
On the same day, it was reported that the air defense forces destroyed 69 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the regions of Russia last night. It is noted that 27 drones were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region, 22 drones over the Voronezh region, 10 UAVs were neutralized in the sky over the Lipetsk region, eight more were intercepted over the Kursk region, and two drones were shot down over the Republic of Crimea.
