A policeman was injured when protesters attacked law enforcement officers in Serbia

Serbian protesters participating in an unauthorized rally attacked a police brigade in Belgrade, injuring one law enforcement officer. This was reported on July 3 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.
"Employees of the police brigade of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were attacked at the intersection of King Alexander Boulevard and Roosevelt Street. <...> As a result of the incident, one officer of the police brigade was injured," the ministry said in a statement.
It is specified that the incident occurred after the police tried to detain a person who was violating public order by creating a barricade of containers on the roadway.
The ministry clarified that the injured policeman was sent for treatment, and one official car of the police brigade was damaged.
On June 30, those taking part in anti-government protests blocked the Gazela Bridge, which is the central transport artery of the city, with barricades. At that time, at least 30 barricades were seen in the city. It was clarified that the country's authorities regard these protests as a manifestation of extremism.
