From January to June 2025, 16.4 million e-CTP policies were sold in Russia, which is 20% more than a year earlier in the same period. This was announced on July 2 by the press service of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA).

The share of electronic insurance policies is 70% of all CTP policies sold during this period. The top 10 regions in terms of their sales are led by Moscow with a result of 1.8 million e-CTP policies and a share of 10.7%. The Moscow region is in second place (1.1 million e—CTP, 6.4%), the Krasnodar Territory is in third (750 thousand e-CTP, 4.6%). The rating also includes St. Petersburg, the Sverdlovsk Region, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chelyabinsk Region, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Rostov and Samara regions.

The growth in the number of policies sold is again higher than last year, said RSA President Evgeny Ufimtsev. According to him, the most e-CTP policies for the first half of 2025 were sold in April — 3.2 million. He cited the possibility of acquiring CTP through any insurer's website or mobile application as the reason for the popularity of electronic policies.

Earlier it became known that the system for checking drivers for an existing CTP policy in automatic mode from traffic cameras will work until November 1 of this year.

The Ministry of Finance of Russia noted that the date of the beginning of bringing drivers to justice for their lack of a CTP policy with the help of cameras has not yet been determined.
