On July 1, US President Donald Trump said at a press conference that he did not rule out the possibility of deporting American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk from the United States.
"Perhaps the Department of state Efficiency of DOGE will have to deal with Ilona. Do you know what DOGE is? This is the monster that may have to turn around and eat Elon," Trump said.
According to him, a lot of subsidies were allocated to Musk.
Earlier in the day, Trump called on DOGE to check subsidies for Musk's Tesla electric vehicles. Trump added that Musk had always been aware of his position on subsidizing electric vehicles — there was no need to force everyone to choose just such cars.
