Emergency mode has been declared in eight regions of Crimea due to severe drought.


A regional emergency has been declared in eight regions of Crimea as a result of severe soil drought. This was announced on July 1 on the website of the Government of the Republic.
"Due to the passage of dangerous meteorological phenomena in the territory of the Republic of Crimea from March to June 2025 — soil drought — it was decided to classify the situation that developed during the specified period as a natural emergency of a regional nature," the message says.
The ministry clarified that an emergency regime was declared in the Black Sea, Krasnoperekopsky, Pervomaisky, Nizhnegorsky, Dzhankoysky, Simferopol, Krasnogvardeysky, as well as in Razdolnensky districts.
On June 11, the authorities of the region introduced an emergency regime in 10 municipalities of the Rostov region against the background of an abnormal drought. It was noted that, according to preliminary estimates, crops on an area of about 60 thousand hectares were affected by soil drought. The total acreage in the Rostov region is 4.9 million hectares.
