The number of bookings in Crimea for July-August increased to 40%

The high season in Crimea will be at a good level, judging by the current sales of tours for July-August. In addition, the number of bookings for this period is 30-40% higher than a year earlier. On July 1, analysts of the member companies of the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) "Dolphin", ALEAN, "Multitour", "Intourist" and "Russian Express" told Izvestia about this.
Crimea is one of the top 5 most popular domestic destinations, second only to Krasnodar Krai in terms of bookings. In the summer season of 2024, Crimea was in sixth place in terms of sales.
Analysts are also paying attention to the increase in the depth of sales of the destination: summer tours began to be booked back in November-December 2024. According to statistics, tourists buy tours to Crimea on average three to four months before the trip.
It turned out that about 20% of the sales of tours to the peninsula for July-August were made in June, and the average trip duration is 7-10 days.
"The top 3 most popular Crimean resorts this summer include Yalta, Alushta and Yevpatoria. This year, the demand for accommodation on the west coast is noticeably higher than last year. Yevpatoria shows the largest increase in the number of bookings and has almost caught up with Sudak in terms of sales," the study noted.
One of the reasons for this surge in interest in resorts on the west coast is lower prices for accommodation, the availability of sandy beaches and hotels with an all-inclusive catering system.
According to estimates by tour operators, some tourists who planned a summer vacation in Anapa have switched to Crimea this season. Analysts estimate the share of such travelers at 15-20%. According to the observations of representatives of the Russian Express, due to logistics, Crimea is in demand primarily from residents of nearby regions, who find it more convenient to travel to the resorts of the peninsula by private car.
However, sales of tours to Crimea were influenced not only by the Anapa factor. Delayed demand played a significant role: tourists who missed previous seasons are returning to Crimean resorts. Due to the returning regular guests, small hotels are showing high occupancy this summer.
At the same time, tour operators estimate the occupancy rate of popular hotels in Crimea for July-August as quite high: 70-75%.
Individual hotels have almost closed their sales during the peak season. However, tour operators emphasize that despite the high occupancy rate of top hotels, you can still find interesting accommodation options for the high season.
"Crimea has a fairly extensive room stock of various levels and budgets, and even on high dates it is possible to find suitable accommodation," the study noted.
Tourists have become more demanding when choosing hotels in Crimea — vacationers are focused on hotels with developed infrastructure.
Tour operators have noted an increase in the number of requests for accommodation in hotels on the first coastline, with pools, an all-inclusive system or full board and additional services. Such facilities are in demand among families with children, as well as among vacationers who prefer to eat at the hotel.
Accommodation in Crimea in the summer season of 2025 has increased in price by an average of 10-20%. At the same time, most hotels have dynamic pricing, which is why the rates also increase as the load increases. Now some Crimean hotels have put up special offers for dates where their occupancy was lower than desired, the analysts explained.
"Arrival in Crimea for seven nights for two with breakfast meals in the second half of July (excluding travel) to budget-level facilities will cost 16-25 thousand rubles, to mid—level hotels — 30-45 thousand rubles, to above-average hotels - from 50 thousand rubles. A one—week tour to a 5* hotel starts from 103,000 rubles," the study said.
On May 29, Izvestia got acquainted with the results of a study by the national tour operator Alean on prices for family tourists in the regions of the Russian Federation. The cheapest places to relax by the sea are in Crimea, Dagestan and Yeysk, on lakes — in Bashkiria, Chelyabinsk region, Altai Territory, in the mountains — in Arkhyz, Elbrus region, Gorny Altai.
