Outbreaks of hot weather are expected in the European part of Russia from the second decade of July. This was announced on July 1 by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand.
"The temperature distribution in the European part of the country shows that in general, the temperature in July will be close to normal. In the first decade, cool weather is forecast with temperatures below normal. Temperatures are expected to rise and hot weather is expected to break out in the second decade," he told TASS.
In addition, Wilfand noted that temperatures above normal are expected throughout the Urals, including the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, as well as the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Tyumen regions.
The forecaster also added that temperatures above normal are forecast in southwestern Siberia and the Far East.
On the same day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that temperatures of up to +17 degrees and rain are expected in Moscow on July 1. At the same time, in the Moscow region it will be from +13 to +18 degrees during the day, and at night the temperature may drop to +8.
