Train traffic has been suspended in southern Italy due to a magnitude 4.6 earthquake.


Railway traffic in the Naples area was stopped due to an earthquake of magnitude 4.6. This was announced on June 30 on the official website of the national company Italian Railway Network (RFI).
"At the Naples junction, railway traffic, which was previously suspended as a precautionary measure to check the condition of the line after an earthquake occurred in the area, is currently significantly slowed down," the report says.
As specified, RFI specialists continue to carry out the necessary checks.
A seismic shock occurred in the area of the Campi Flegrei volcanic complex (Flegrei fields). The earthquake was recorded by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
As specified in the GB News article, the epicenter was located in the city of Pozzuoli. The mayor of the city, Luigi Manzoni, said that the earthquake, which had previously been warned about, turned out to be strong, but at the moment there were no reports of damage.
According to him, the epicenter was in the Bakoli area, and the situation requires constant monitoring. He added that city volunteers are already working on site and are closely monitoring developments.
In addition, there were reports of power outages in different areas of the city.

An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 on the Richter scale occurred in Pakistan on June 29, 57 km northeast of the city of Barkhan and 91 km northwest of the city of Dera Ghazi Khan with a population of 236 thousand people.
