- The CSTO foreign ministers called for preventing new attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities

The foreign ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) urge to prevent new raids on Iran's nuclear facilities, which are under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The corresponding statement was published on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry on June 30.
"We call for abandoning forceful methods of solving problems and preventing new raids on nuclear installations and sites that are under IAEA safeguards and are subject to the agency's verification activities," the document says.
In addition, the Foreign ministers stressed that the situation related to Iran's nuclear program can only be resolved through negotiations. The statement also stated that the heads of departments condemn the attacks by the United States and Israel on the Islamic Republic.
"We emphasize that any attacks on civilian facilities, including nuclear power infrastructure, are categorically unacceptable and are a gross violation of the principles and norms of international law," the statement said.
Yesterday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the UN Security Council should hold Israel and the United States accountable for the act of aggression against Iran and oblige them to pay compensation. According to Araqchi, the Security Council must prevent the recurrence of such grave crimes.
Later, a political scientist, retired lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen of the American army, said that US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities were illegal from an international point of view. According to him, Israel's conduct of the operation may be related to the desire to enlist the support of the United States.
