The upcoming weekend of July 5th and 6th will be the coldest in July in Moscow. However, the most stormy day is expected today. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on June 30.

"Today, June 30th, will be the most stormy day of the week. However, starting from July 1, the cyclone will gradually begin to fill up and shift to the east, which will lead to some improvement in weather conditions," Pozdnyakova explained.

Cloudy weather is expected in Moscow on July 1 with short-term rains during the day. The temperature regime will remain lowered: at night the thermometer will drop to +11... +13 degrees, during the day the air will warm up only to +16...+18 degrees. In the Moscow region, the temperature indicators will be even lower — from +9 to +14 degrees at night and +14 ...+19 degrees during the day.

A special feature of the weather on July 1 will be a strong north-westerly wind with gusts up to 12-17 m/s, which will create a feeling of a lower temperature than the thermometers show.

On July 2, according to Pozdnyakova, it will be partly cloudy with possible short-term rains. Nighttime temperatures will remain at +11...+13 degrees, during the day the air will warm up to +19...+21 degrees. The wind will remain quite strong — up to 12-14 m/s.

Significant warming is expected only on Thursday, July 4, when the night temperature will be +12...+14 degrees, and in the afternoon the air will warm up to +23 ...+25 degrees. No precipitation is expected on Friday and Saturday, however, on Saturday, July 6, a cooling down to +17...+22 degrees is forecast again in the afternoon.

"It is the upcoming weekend of July 5 and 6 that may become the coolest in the first decade of July. Then the temperature will start to rise again and reach comfortable values of +22...+25 degrees. That is, there is hope that the weather will improve," Pozdnyakova said.

Earlier, on June 25, Pozdnyakova noted that by the end of the month, the weather in the metropolitan region would be determined by cyclones, most often from their rear (cold) part. As forecasters reported, the north-westerly current will remain in the region, bringing coolness and dense clouds.
