The temperature in Spain has risen to a historical record

Record heat was recorded in Spain — the air warmed up to +46 degrees. This was reported by the newspaper El Tiempo on June 30.
According to a Meteoclimatica study using data from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the results of which are cited by the publication, heat waves in June are becoming more frequent. Over the past decade, not only has the number of hot days increased, but the geography of such anomalies has also expanded. This has been especially noticeable in the last 10 years — the heat wave covers the entire territory of Spain and is coming earlier.
It is specified that in the municipality of El Granado, province of Huelva, a "suffocating" heat was recorded, +46 degrees was recorded. Following this area, Montoro in the province of Cordoba became the hottest settlement with a temperature of +44 degrees, followed by Fuentes de Andalusia (+43.9), Morón de la Frontera (+43.5), Andujar (+43.4) and El Cerro de Andevalo (+43).
According to forecasters, this is not the limit: temperatures will continue to rise in the north and northwest of the country, especially in the Cantabrian region and Galicia. The northeast and south of Spain are expecting temperatures of +34-36 degrees, and in the valleys of the Guadalquivir, Guadiana, Tagus and Lower Ebro rivers, the heat may exceed +40 degrees.
Abu Assaf, the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Syria, said on June 27 that Syria was facing the worst drought in recent decades, which could cause 16 million people to face food shortages. It is specified that up to 16.3 million people may face a lack of food. Assaf stressed that the country has not experienced such weather conditions in the last 60 years.
