At least 45 people died due to monsoon rains in Pakistan

In Pakistan, at least 45 people have died over the past few days due to heavy monsoon rains and related incidents. This was reported on June 29 by Geo TV channel.
The largest number of victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is 21 people. Deaths are also reported from the provinces of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan.
"13 deaths have been recorded in Punjab since Wednesday. Eight of them were children who died due to the collapse of walls or roofs during heavy rain, while adults died as a result of flash floods," the article says.
According to media reports, the risk of heavy rain and possible flash floods will persist over the next week. It is noted that hurricane-force winds and thunderstorms can damage weak structures, power lines and vehicles. At the same time, landslides may occur in mountainous areas and disrupt road traffic.
On June 29, the El Tempo portal reported that the number of victims of a landslide in the municipality of Belo in northwestern Colombia reached 23 people. A landslide struck the Granizal district in the Bello municipality earlier this week, affecting part of the city of Medellin as well. According to the latest official report, 13 people remain missing.
