On June 29, US President Donald Trump said that despite the public quarrel, he treats American billionaire Elon Musk very well and considers him a "great guy."

"I haven't talked to him too much [lately]. But I think Elon is a great guy. I know that everything will always be fine with him," the American leader told Fox News.

Trump also added that Musk is an intelligent man who campaigned with him. But after that, the businessman "was a little upset, which was inappropriate" when the White House administration did not take measures to distribute electric-powered cars in the United States. These are just produced by the entrepreneur's Tesla company.

"I'm not trying to ensure that everyone has electric cars. I like electric cars. I like his cars [made by Tesla], but that doesn't mean they should be imposed on everyone. In my opinion, he (Musk. — ed.) is magnificent," the US president noted.

On June 3, Musk criticized the draft budget proposed by the White House, calling it an abomination. Later, on June 5, Musk publicly supported the idea of impeaching Trump. The president, in turn, wrote that terminating contracts with Musk is the easiest way to save money in the US budget. At the same time, Tesla shares fell sharply.

The entrepreneur's father, Errol Musk, said in an interview with Izvestia on June 7 that it was the American leader who would emerge victorious in the conflict between Trump and his son. He noted that both Trump and Musk firmly adhere to their principles and this is absolutely normal.
