Dry grass caught fire in Alushta in the Crimea. As reported on June 29 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, the fire occurs on an area of 1 hectare.
It is specified that the fire occurred in the urban-type settlement of Lazurnoye.
"Fire extinguishing is complicated by inaccessible terrain, rocky massif, gusty winds up to 12 m/s," the ministry said in a statement.
More than 45 people and 15 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the landscape fire.
Earlier in the day, the forestry agency of Buryatia reported that there are about 60 forest fires in the republic on a total area of more than 107 thousand hectares. Currently, 16 of them have been extinguished.
