48 police officers were injured during the protests in Belgrade.


In Belgrade, 48 police officers were injured during the protests, 77 people were detained. This was announced on June 29 by the Assistant Director of the Serbian Police, Dejan Lukovic, on TV Prva.
It is specified that one of the detainees is a minor.
Lukovich noted that the police will file 35 petitions for criminal offenses and 22 for administrative offenses. According to him, three police cars were also damaged as a result of the protests.
"We are continuing to clarify all the circumstances, establish the actual picture and identify the remaining persons, the organizers. In cooperation with the competent prosecutor's offices and security services, we will bring this case to an end," Lukovich said.
According to him, residents used batons, smoke bombs and crowbars during the rally. In addition, it is reported that 22 people went to the ambulance after the demonstrations, two of whom were seriously injured.
Earlier, on June 28, Izvestia published footage from Belgrade after the start of demonstrations on the Vidovdan holiday, the day of remembrance of heroes and national identity of Serbia. Supporters of President Vucic and protesting representatives of the opposition came to the event.
Later it was reported that at least 36 thousand people attended the rally in Belgrade. The protesters were students who came to the square with slogans "Rock!", demonstrated the symbols of their faculties, flags of Serbia, and also created noise with whistles.
