In Moscow, about half of the monthly precipitation will fall in a week.

About half of the monthly precipitation will fall in Moscow next week. This was told by Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather center.
According to him, up to 37-42 millimeters of precipitation will fall in Moscow, and up to 50-60 millimeters in the Moscow region. Heavy rains are forecast in the next three days, the forecaster added.
"15 millimeters are expected in Moscow on Sunday, another 14 millimeters on Monday, and six millimeters on Tuesday," Tishkovets told RIA Novosti.
According to the expert, the rains are associated with the North Atlantic cyclone Cornelius, which is shifting in a southeasterly direction and will overcome 1,000 kilometers per day.
Earlier, on June 28, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather center, reported that the first day of July in Moscow could be among the coldest in recent decades. He noted that the temperature record for the coldest July 1 so far belongs to 2006, when the thermometer showed only +14.9 °C.
