The Lakhta Center was painted in the colors of the alumni celebration "Scarlet Sails", which took place on the night of Sunday, June 29.

"On Saturday night, the brig with scarlet sails will set off on its honorable annual journey along the Neva River, and the Lakhta Center tower will shine like a lighthouse on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, welcoming everyone who is entering adulthood," the complex's Telegram channel says.

The backlight turned on on the evening of June 28 at 22:30 and will turn off at 04:00 the next day.

The main alumni celebration "Scarlet Sails" was held in St. Petersburg on the night of June 29. The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov. And the band "5UTRA" opened the festive concert of the event.

The evening culminated with the passage of the brig Rossiya along the Neva River under scarlet sails and the volleys of real Katyusha launchers (BM-13), which are part of the water and pyrotechnic show of the holiday.

Performers Zara, Bearwolf, Akmal', The 5UTRA group, The Hatters, Agatha Christie and Ivanushki International performed at the event. The headliner this year was People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Kadysheva.

The Scarlet Sails holiday was revived in 2005 after a long-term hiatus on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
